Exploration Focus The principal focus of exploration within the Cedar Creek Property is to discover a sediment hosted bulk tonnage gold deposit(s) and/or high grade gold bearing quartz veins such have been successfully explored on the adjacent Skygold, Spanish Mountain Property. 2006 Exploration In October 2006, APEX Geoscience Ltd. was retained by Cedar Mountain Exploration Inc. to manage exploration at the Cedar Creek Property which included:
Exploration being conducted by Cedar Mountain has thus far: (1) attempted to relocate and document historic showings; and (2) discover a large, low grade, sediment hosted bulk tonnage gold deposit similar to that at Skygold. Subsequently, the airborne geophysical survey flown during 2006 identified conductors which have coincident gold in soil anomalies which are interpreted to be argillite and at present are the main focus of exploration going forward. Furthermore, anomalous soil and rock samples from within the Property include 28 soil samples and 9 rock samples. These anomalies substantiate the favourable potential to locate undiscovered economic mineralization. Soil sample anomalies appear as discrete areas across the Property and sometimes appear to coincide with resistivity or magnetic anomalies. The total expenditures for the 2006 Cedar Mountain Exploration field program are in excess of $100,000 CDN. |
